Just about two weeks ago, TechnologyReview.com ran a piece about LokiTorrent, a P2P site facing off against the MPAA over copyright infringement. It was a fun story, but ultimately, probably proved to be more hype than reality.

Our angle: LT was soliciting donations from the user community to fight the MPAA. And it worked. The company raised $30,000.
