Mobile Summit 2013: Oren Michaels – Mashery – Mobile Enterprise
As CEO of Mashery, an Intel company, Oren Michels has led the team responsible for connecting 175 leading brands with 200,000 developers to build 62,000 live apps using APIs. Prior to Intel’s acquisition of Mashery in 2013, Oren created the Business of APIs conference, now in its sixth year. A frequent speaker at events globally, he has taken the stage at events such as Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0, the London Web Summit, the GCA/Savvian Summit, Le Web, eComm, WeMedia, Interop, Dow Jones VentureWire, CTIA, General Assembly, and the Forbes CIO Summit.
Before joining Mashery, Oren served in executive roles for a number of successful startups, including Feedster, WiFinder, Colt HR, and Winebid.com. He also served as president and CEO of the Groundlings, a Hollywood-based entertainment production company, but he began his career as a software designer for Hughes Aircraft. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from MIT and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial studies from UCLA’s Anderson School.
