“In the first event, we talked about how technology will transform the future,” says Pedro Moneo, the international partner of MIT Technology Review and CEO at Opinno. “Now we want to know how our existing technologies will help us to build a better society, a better world.” Moneo expects to repeat last year’s success with an event featuring more than 40 international experts and 500 entrepreneurs.
Venture Point, A Unique Opportunity for Startups
A core part of EmTech France 2016 will be Venture Point, which, in collaboration with La French Tech, finds, selects, and showcases some of the most promising French tech startups. Candidate companies are evaluated on factors such as operating in markets of more than $1 billion, taking a social approach, and looking to complete a round of investment within the next 6-12 months.
As at EmTech France 2015, the chosen companies will participate in the Venture Point space, a meeting point for high-profile entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, venture capitalists, business executives, and journalists. Participants will be able to present their projects and to interact and network with each other. Visit the official EmTech France website to learn more.
