Students Move in to Maseeh Hall

The building formerly known as Ashdown House—and before that as Graduate House, and before that as the Riverbank Court Hotel—officially reopened in September as Fariborz Maseeh Hall. MIT’s newest undergraduate dorm underwent an extensive renovation sparked by several generous gifts, including one from Fariborz Maseeh, ScD ‘90, to enable MIT to expand the undergraduate student body and another from an anonymous donor who chose the name for the dorm’s dining facility. The Howard Dining Hall and other views of Maseeh Hall can be seen at technologyreview.com/maseeh.
