IceWall
As part of the MIT150 Festival of Art, Science, and Technology (FAST), architecture graduate students Yushiro Okamoto and Kian Hiu-Lan Yam came up with the idea of constructing a wall of ice in Killian Court. Made of frozen blocks containing flower seeds, IceWall was designed to transform into a flower bed in the spring. Watch a video of its construction at technologyreview.com/icewall.
