What Would You Ask Neal Stephenson?

Technology Review is interviewing Neal Stephenson – here’s your chance to suggest a question.

Neal Stephenson is one of the world’s most popular science fiction novelists, with works that not only reach the New York Times’ bestseller lists, but are also critically acclaimed for their originality and vision. Books like Snow Crash, The Diamond Age, Cryptonomicon, Anathem, and most recently Reamde, have influenced a generation of readers, with stories that mix high technology with high adventure.

With assistance from the the MIT Graduate Program in Science Writing, if you’re in the Boston area, you can see Neal Stephenson in person at MIT on April 17. Technology Review’s editor-in-chief, Jason Pontin, will publicly interview Stephenson for the 2012 issue of TRSF, our annual science fiction anthology. Topics on the table include the state and future of hard science fiction, and how digital publishing is affecting novels.

Seats are publicly available on a first-come, first-served basis from this event page, and the audience will be invited to ask their own questions after the interview. But if you can’t come in person, what questions do you think our editor-in-chief should ask? Make your suggestions in the comments below, and we’ll pick some of the best ones to pose to Stephenson.
