Determined to be first in line for IHOP, the monthly free breakfast event at East Campus, Patrick C. McDaniel ‘13 took no chances. He fashioned a tent, draping a sheet over a 2×4 supported by two end pieces, in front of the East Campus desk in the early hours of Sunday, September 26, so he could catch some Zs while waiting. McDaniel was indeed the first person served at 11 a.m., and he enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a bagel with salmon, cream cheese, and capers. Later that day, he took a nap, graded 8.01 p-sets, and did some work for 8.033.
