Vancouver Alumni to Welcome Olympic Visitors

When James Dai, SM ‘04, returned to Vancouver, British Columbia, after completing his master’s at the MIT Media Lab and working as a program manager for Microsoft, he thought that MIT alumni were nonexistent in his hometown. But last spring, Oliver Chow ‘93, MBA ‘97 (right), organized an inaugural gathering of 35 alumni, including Toni Schuman ‘58 (left), then president of the Alumni Association. Since then, Dai has found lots of alumni connections. In fact, he hopes to welcome even more MIT graduates in February as Vancouver hosts the 2010 Winter Olympics. If you are planning to be there, contact Dai to connect with other alumni: jamesdai@gmail.com.
