ESPN Launching Mobile Phone and Service on Sunday

The all-sports network will unveil its branded, Sanyo phone – complete with real-time sports scores, video highlights, and fantasy team coverage.

Some weeks after a massive web site redesign (no doubt inspired by the emergence of the mobile Web), ESPN finally announced it would be selling a branded mobile phone, which, along with a variety of minute plans (ranging between $35 and $225 per month), comes with free updates of sports scores, video highlights, and fantasy sports tracking, according to this Reuters story.

The service will be offered only through Sprint initially, according to the report.
