For the past three days I have been at the DIMACS Workshop on Usable Privacy and Security Software. It has been a fun conference with about 50 people from the emerging HCI-SEC (Human/Computer Interaction–Security) community from around the US and Europe.
Although the conference was not videotaped, you can view the slides from the presenters , which are now available online. My talk on Best Practices for Usable Security in Desktop Software gives details of some of my thesis work at MIT CSAIL. Also of interest were Angela Sasse’s talk Usable Security: Beyond the Interface and Sameer Patil’s talk Privacy in Instant Messaging
Speakers were invited to present papers with one-page abstracts, and you can find those who submitted at the program page.
