According to David Baker’s article in the San Francisco Chronicle Cisco, Network Associates, Symantec and Trend Micro are going to develop a new system that will automatically test computers for susceptibility to computer worms before allowing them to connect to a network.

MIT implemented this a few months ago, so it’s pretty cool that the ideas are making it out into the commercial world so quickly.
