Remember back during the Iraq war, when the website for the Arabic TV network Al-Jazeera was hacked — instead of anti-American and Anti-Israeli news, the website redirected visitors to a page that showed an American flag? At the time, people openly wondered if the NSA or CIA was behind the act.
Well, they were. As CNET reports, John William Racine II, a 24-year-old web designer, was just fined $2000 and sentenced to 1000 hours of community service for the act.
