Navigating the Institute–and keeping tabs on MIT news–just got easier thanks to a free iPhone application. Launched in February, the app provides mobile access to the latest news about MIT research and innovation, a searchable campus directory, class information and announcements, emergency updates, and real-time shuttle tracking and alerts. The directory feature lets users look up contact information for MIT students, faculty, and staff and e-mail or phone them directly. An interactive campus map makes it simple to search for MIT services, buildings, and directions. Download it free at technologyreview.com/MITiPhone.
