New Alumni Directory
It speeds searches and more facts.
The redesigned Online Alumni Directory (OAD), part of the Infinite Connection’s suite of online services, both simplifies and speeds up alumni quests for people who share their personal interests, geographic locations, or professional pursuits.
The improved directory, launched in September, enables searches that can link alumni in new ways. OAD performs single-criterion searches – on, say, a location such as Cincinnati – almost instantaneously. Results can be filtered through additional single-word searches or a list of common affiliations that appears at the side of the screen. A user can instantly pick out, for instance, local club officers or Procter and Gamble employees who are volunteer career advisors.
The speedy new directory can also help alumni who are moving or traveling find active MIT club members in their new locations. Those considering new jobs can quickly search for employees of interesting firms who welcome career inquiries: look for the new Career Advisor icon. Volunteers can also find peers worldwide.
The directory provides expanded information, ranging from job function and industry to student activities and sports. Please keep the data robust: update your information by logging in to the Infinite Connection at alum.mit.edu.
