BitTorrent founder Johan Pouwelse will be speaking at Wednesday’s Federal Trade Commission workshop on Peer-to-peer technology, according to an article posted today on p2pnet.net.

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer download system that lets individuals host content on thousands or tens of thousands of servers simultaneously. For Free! These machines, located at the ends of cable modems and DSL lines, give individuals the download power of a CNN.COM.

It shows a positive use of Peer-to-peer technology — something that, until now, has been largely restricted to things like illegal music sharing.
