The good news is that the insider got caught! According to this AP news story, a 24-year-old man sold more than 92 million different AOL screen names to a spammer for $52,000. The list was then used for “marketing herbal penile enlargment bills,“ according to the criminal complaint. A second list with 18 million names was sold for $100,000. Both the insider and the spammer have been charged with criminal conspiracy.
