John Perry Barlow reports that Spalding Gray committed suicide on Saturday at 9pm. The Associated Press has run a longer story about the famous writer being missing.

Spalding Gray was beloved by many technologists for his insightful monologues. Apparently Gray had been battling depression since a car crash in 2001.
