According to this article in The Register, Diebold ATMs at two financial institutions were infected by the “Nachi” worm last August. The ATMs were running Windows XP embedded.

Perhaps in the future, the Nachi worms will be programmed to make the ATMs automatically dispense money to anybody who types in a special back-door code. That would be neat!
