D3: iRobot Demos the Skooba
iRobot shows off its latest home robot: the Skooba. It’s a little bigger than a Roomba, and it washes and polishes wooden floors. The D3 audience watches the Skooba eject clean water on a dirty wooden floor, scrub the floor, and then reabsorb the dirty liquid. It’s cool. I suppose. I guess. PacBot, a military robot that iRobot designed, and which the US Army uses in Iraq, seems more useful.
