A rather elaborate phishing attack: create a 2-week web-based course for security professionals interested in working for CitiBank. On the second week of the course, ask them to execute an Internet banking transaction to receive a payment into their checking account. (That is, get them to enter their account number, routing number, and identifying information.) Take their money.
Or so, it seems, that’s the fraud reported by www.crime-research.org, and blamed on Russians.
