On-Demand Auto Registration
When Sean Leach was pulled over for driving a car with an expired registration, he acted fast. While the police office wrote up the ticket and called a tow truck to tow the unregistered vehicle, Leach called a friend. The friend went to the new Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s online registration service and renewed the registraton for Leach’s car.
This is just too good to be true! When the cop came back with the ticket, Leach told the officer that the car was registered. “The computer inside Zier’s patrol car confirmed it.”
