The Algorithm Archive
An award-winning artificial intelligence newsletter.

The Algorithm has always been produced by a small team that punches above our weight. Your continued support helps us to chase stories, break scoops, and deliver ambitious, quality journalism.
Under the authorship of Karen Hao, The Algorithm was named one of the best newsletters on the internet in 2018 by The Webby Awards. Her work has also won a Front Page Award and been short-listed for the Sigma Awards.
More recently, our reporting for The Algorithm has gotten Congress to take action on Google's firing of AI ethicist Timnit Gebru, and we called out Stanford's "very complex algorithm" for leaving out their own frontline doctors.
