Last week I groused about the new FDA Food Pyramid, but didn’t really offer any alternatives. But Slate took things a step further, and commissioned several graphic designers to design more suitable alternatives. They even like the old pyramid better, but you have to admit that the designs they came up with certainly communicate more information in a more natural type of way. You’re almost left with the impression that the FDA took the easy way out – surely not because of any lobbying from special interests, right?
