Description Text

The left portion of this image of epsilon 15's capsid is an electron density gradient map, which illustrates the capsid's structure according to how the microscope's electron beam interacted with it. Certain features of this map could not be accounted for by the known capsid protein gp7, leading the researchers to discover a second, previously unknown capsid protein called gp10. The right portion of the sphere is the same as in the previous image.
