About the Conference

Technology Review’s Emerging Technologies Conference at MIT (EmTech@MIT) showcases the technologies that are poised to make a dramatic impact on our world. This unique three-day event brings together world-renowned innovators and leaders to discuss the transformative technological innovations destined to better our lives, create opportunities, and fuel economic growth. The conference attracts close to 1,000 decision makers from the technology, engineering, investment, and management communities annually.

To learn more about the conference, visit www.technologyreview.com/emtech.

EmTech@MIT also honors the current set of TR35, Technology Review’s annual list of the top young innovators, under 35 years old, who exemplify the spirit of innovation in science, business and technology. Previously known as the TR100, this group of young innovators has been covered extensively by CNBC, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Their groundbreaking work has had a profound effect on our world, launching new businesses and creating new industries. Marc Andreessen, cofounder of Netscape; Apple Computer’s Jonathan Ivey, designer of the iMac; and Max Levchin, cofounder of PayPal (now part of eBay) are among past recipients. The 2009 TR35 will be honored at the conference during a dedicated awards ceremony and reception.
