In May, physics professor Peter H. Fisher and associate professor Christoph M. E. Paus served as MCs of a physics rock concert that included performances by the Quantum Beats and Asymptotic Freedom as well as a blues song, a hip-hop dance, a tango, back flips, and a conga line of physicists. The "Professors in Black" noted that the MIT students who performed had "something to fall back on when physics tanks." At evening's end, they joked about using a neuralizer to wipe the audience's memory. Paus then donned sunglasses, took a picture of the audience, and announced that the concert was over.
