Alumni Volunteer Awards

Hundreds of volunteers gathered on campus September 19-20 for the Alumni Leadership Conference (ALC), an event that sharpened community-building skills through workshops on K-12 initiatives, philanthropy, shared leadership, and effective communication. The accomplishments of this year's Bronze Beaver winners epitomize the ALC theme, "Inspiring Innovation." Five Volunteers Win Association's Highest Honor--the Bronze Beaver
Bronze Beaver winners are lauded for decades of service to MIT in areas including club and class organization, fund-raising, educational counseling, and governance.

Thomas C. Davis '84, SM '85
Davis has applied his analytical expertise and strategic perspective to his roles as chair of the Alumni Fund board and its goals committee.

David H. Koch '62, SM '63
Koch is being honored for his MIT Corporation leadership and for his pivotal support and guidance in establishing the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT.

A. Neil Pappalardo '64
Pappalardo's wise advice and support have helped the mechanical-­engineering and physics departments and the MIT libraries operate at a world-class level.

Anne Street '69, SM '72
A leader in the MIT Club of Washington, Street has contributed her skills to the MIT Museum, visiting committees, and the Early McCormick Reunion.

Albert O. Wilson '38
Wilson has been an influential leader and fund-raiser for the Class of 1938 for nearly 70 years and is an active supporter of his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi.
