The primary focus of the Account Executive is to identify new prospects, develop relationships and generate new business. This requires positioning our value proposition in a virtually untapped corner of the search market directly to manufacturers and their ad agency representatives, addressing objections, and providing strategic advice on optimizing each campaign.

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in online media sales. You must be a positive self-motivator who thrives in an energetic, fast-pace environment.  We''re looking for creative leaders who use a consultative sales approach while navigating, over the phone, through large manufacturers and their agencies to create new business opportunities.  This Account Executive must be able to effectively work with top decision makers at both the leading agencies and Fortune 1000 companies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate the benefits of our advertising services over the phone
  • Proactively build a territory through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, and closing medium to large-size advertisers
  • Communicate with senior level executives, at both manufacturers and agencies, about how we can help them meet their goals and objectives
  • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue goals
  • Present new business opportunities to manufacturers and agencies
  • Create sales presentations and proposals
  • Follow and understand market trends and effects on clients and industry
  • Coordinate multiple departments, internally, to ensure clients’ needs are fulfilled

 

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years online advertising sales
  • Phone sales and cold-calling
  • Record of attaining and surpassing sales goals
  • Success selling within consumer products, online search, media planning, or agency settings; exposure to online media, analytics or pay-per-click programs a big plus
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation is a must for thriving in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to positively adapt to change in a fast-pace work environment
  • Familiarity and expertise with the Internet and online retail
  • Skilled in being able to explain complex technology in everyday terms
BA/BS or equivalent
