Marketing Communications Specialist

 

PercussionSoftware, a leading web content management system provider with clients such asHotwire.com, Harvard Law School, and the U.S. State Department, is looking fora driven marketing specialist to develop a library of sales and marketingcollateral, support our growing social media and blogging efforts, and manageday-to-day updates to our web sites.

 

Candidatesshould possess superb writing skills, a demonstrated familiarity with socialmedia and SEO, and the ability to maintain an organized approach to swiftlyexecuting projects on a number of different fronts. We’re looking for anintellectually crisp, tirelessly motivated marketer who excels in a highlyentrepreneurial environment and can amplify our efforts to help businesses andorganizations manage their web presences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

While theMarketing Communications Specialist will wear many hats, work acrossdepartments, and have the opportunity to impact our online marketing strategyin nearly every way, the following represent the position’s keyresponsibilities:

 

Developing Sales and MarketingCollateral - Writingmarketing materials such as white papers, press releases, and case studies aswell as web copy to support our SEO efforts.

 

Social Media - Maintain frequent updates onPercussion’s web properties, such as our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.    Identify, evaluate, and leverage new socialchannels. Support our blogging efforts by maintaining an ever-growing list ofinfluencers and bloggers and conducting outreach.

 

Website Updates - Build new web pages, upload newcollateral to the resources or press area, moderate comments, highlightpromotions, and generate landing pages for marketing and lead generationcampaigns.

 

Support Internal Reporting - Help compile web performance datacollected through Google and WebTrends Analytics, track the performance ofmarketing-delivered leads, and prepare internal updates.

 

Qualifications

 

-         Bachelor’sDegree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, PR or related field.

-         Priormarketing experience at an established technology or services companypreferred.

-         Expertcommand of the written word and strong verbal communications ability.

-         Demonstratedfamiliarity with social media (including blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn, andTwitter) and search engine optimization.

-         Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint)

-         Experiencewith Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.
