Google's Adsense program has given mere mortals with a website (or even with a freely-hosted web page) an easy way to put up advertisements and (presumably) make quick cash. But signing up for the Adsense program can take several days, and how do you know what kind of ads Google would end up running on your page, anyway?

Well, fear not. The Google Adsense Test Page allows you to type in a URL and find out instantly what advertisements Google would put on your page, if only you signed up for AdSense and edited the HTML yourself.

(A quick test of TechnologyReview.com reveals that we would have advertisements on bluetooth and nanotechnology. A lot of nanotechnology.)
