David Ewing Duncan

A best-selling author, journalist, and broadcast correspondent on television and radio, David Ewing Duncan has written about, beyond science, everything from 16th-century conquistadors to famines in Africa to the history of the calendar.

You can hear him every week on NPR Talk's BioTech Nation and read his articles in Technology Review, National Geographic, Wired, Discover, Fortune, and other periodicals. David's books have been translated into 19 languages; his latest is Masterminds: Genius, DNA and the Quest to Rewrite Life (HarperCollins). He has started his next book, titled Experimental Man: A Molecular Autobiography.

He is the founder and editorial director of the BioAgenda Institute for Life Science Policy, which commissions white papers and holds meetings about the implications of everything from drug prices to the future of life.
