MIT150 Toast to Tech Caps Reunions
More than 3,800 alumni and guests—the largest Tech Reunions crowd ever—converged on campus in June, concluding MIT’s sesquicentennial celebrations.
1. At Toast to Tech, the MIT150 finale, President Susan Hockfield wielded a sword to make the first slice in a 750-pound sesquicentennial cake created in the shape of MIT campus buildings. (An extra 250 pounds of cupcakes formed a miniature Charles River.) Nearly 8,000 people attended the June 4 event.
