A nationwide search for a new executive vice president and CEO of the MIT Alumni Association got under way in June, soon after Elizabeth A. Garvin HM was appointed vice president for institutional engagement at the Rhode Island School of Design. Garvin left MIT in July after more than 20 years at the Institute.

Past Alumni Association president Scott Marks '68, SM '69, chairs the search committee, which welcomes nominations and inquiries from the MIT community at ceoapp@alum.mit.edu.

Meanwhile, MIT Venture Mentoring Service director Sherwin Greenblatt '62, SM '64, is serving as interim executive vice president and CEO of the Association. The former president of Bose, Greenblatt was executive vice president and treasurer of MIT from 2005 to 2007.
